It has something for any taste, budget and life style, from luxurious resorts and fine dining to budget hostels and family-friendly activities.
Apart from attractions on the island, Phuket is a gateway to many tour activities in the Andaman such as exhilarating speedboat trips to nearby tropical islands, including the Phi Phi Islands, sea canoeing tours, and leisurely cruises around the mystical Phang Nga Bay.

Koh Panyee
Not so far from James Bond Island is Koh Panyee. It is a small Muslim fishing village where tour operators drop off tourists for lunch. The village, which is built on stilt, has a population of 360 families. The villagers are believed to descend from Java in the 18th century.
Even though the community enjoys the benefits of tourism, the villagers’ livelihood still primarily revolves around fishing. The June Bahtra cruise stops at Koh Panyee during the full day tour. This offers an opportunity to get a glimpse of the way of life of local people.

Phang Nga Bay
Also known as Ao Phang Nga National Park, Phang Nga Bay lies in the northeastern of Phuket Island near Phang Nga province. Besides crystal clear water, it is famous for tall, dramatic limestone islands, mangrove forests and many small islands with white sandy beaches. It's one of the best places in Thailand to explore the natural beauty of marine life.

James Bond Island
James Bond Island got its name from one of the James Bond movie series that was filmed here in 1974. It is a photogenic, limestone outcrop about 20 meters tall, jutting out of the emerald green sea. Located about 60 kilometers from the mainland, it is part of a group of small islands, including Khao Phing Kan, which is another natural wonder in the area.
James Bond Island becomes an iconic landscape that draws hundreds of tourists on a daily basis. It may get busy during certain time of the day. It is worth a visit if you go there at a less busy time.

Panak Island
Panak Island is renowned for caves with eccentric stalactites and stalagmites such as bat cave, mangrove cave and ice cream cave. Some caves are accessible by foot while some can be reached by canoe only.

Lawa Island
The island is just north of Phuket and also part of Ao Phang Nga National Park. It has some nice sandy beaches with shallow water and suitable for scuba diving and swimming. The island is usually peaceful with a few tourists. A perfect place for relaxation or simply basking in the sun.
